Questions
Is my media uploaded anywhere?
No. Starry Cinema is self-hosted — your files stay on your PC. Remote access streams directly from your machine to your device, encrypted.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows 10/11 PC that's on when you want to watch. That's it. For remote access and transcoding, a reasonably modern machine helps — any gaming PC from the last decade is plenty.
How do I get my license key?
Check out with Square, and your key is emailed to you instantly. Open Starry Cinema → Settings → License, paste it in, done.
What does "bring your own Real-Debrid key" mean?
If you already pay for Real-Debrid, you can connect your own API key in settings and stream through it. We never see or store your key beyond your own machine — it's entirely optional.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — 30 days, no questions asked. Email us and we'll refund and revoke the key.
Does it work on Mac?
Not yet — Windows first. macOS is on the roadmap, and founding members get a vote on what ships next.
